Who are we

We are sp+am workshop - an architectural practice founded in 2024 by architects and siblings Vladimir Nedyalkov and Elina Nedyalkova.

Before founding sp+am, Vladimir and Elina both worked at ambitious commercial practices in London and across the UK. Their portfolio includes multi-storey residential towers in London, Manchester and Liverpool; commercial work such as a high-rise hotel and high-end offices, and meticulous refurbishment projects - all in Central London; and projects further afield, including a major art gallery in Sussex and a military factory in the East Midlands. In total, numerous commercial, residential and industrial schemes as architects at AJ100 practices.

sp+am workshop works in two main ways: through bespoke client briefs and through our own programmes - design proposals that follow our studio’s design language and identity.
For us, the internal layout is the heart of every project. The way every space is arranged sets the rhythm of the life lived inside it - its ease, its openness, its privacy, its light and order. We design the conditions for a life.
We value architecture for how it shapes the lives within it and not only for how it looks. Our work comes from years of practice driven by one question: what ideas and spaces are truly good for the people who live in them?

The ideas we work with are shaped by reimagined cultural principles, material intelligence, and a belief that architecture carries real responsibility for how well people live.

As a family of architects, we collaborate with architectural studio Niveau 51, founded by Vladimir and Elina’s father, Veselin Nedyalkov, focused on designing of energy-efficient houses with prefabricated modules - an award-winning patented building system.
Albena Petkova, an artist, works with us on drawing, painting, murals and stained glass - and beyond that, she's our closest collaborateur on visual style.
